In response to femicide, Albania is launching the “Femicide Watch” on March 8, 2024. This initiative, led by the People’s Advocate, aims to collect and analyze national data on gender-based killings of women. It will work with various stakeholders to improve policies and mechanisms to prevent such crimes, aligning data collection with the United Nations' statistical framework.
